Description

The A2L 65 D 9705 4P 0700 gear pump from the French company Suntec is designed to pump a large volume of fuel (81 l/h) under high pressure in two directions at once. Each injector line can operate independently of the other thanks to shut-off electromagnetic valves. The set pressure is maintained by a spool pressure reducing valve with an adjusting screw.

Design features

  • All the hard work of moving fuel to the injectors is performed by the gear mechanism. It includes a gear pair: a straight-toothed gear and a wheel. Their mutual counterclockwise rotation causes a vacuum in the suction pipe. The entrained fuel is pushed into the high-pressure channel, and then to the injectors.

  • The pump controls include electromagnetic solenoids and a slide valve. The former are responsible for the order of switching on the feed and locking the channel by a signal from the burner control unit. The latter acts as a pressure level regulator in the range from 8 to 15 bar. The adjustment process does not require stopping the drive rotation, which makes it more comfortable and faster.
