The AS series of liquid fuel pumps with a gear mechanism, presented by the French company Suntec, has been expanded with a low-power energy-efficient model AS 47 D 1580 1P 0500. Its feature is the presence of only one stage of diesel fuel supply to the injector, which is adjusted by a slide valve. Design features

  • The main work of the liquid fuel pump, which consists in supplying fuel under high pressure, is performed by a gear mechanism. It is represented by a pair of interrotating counterclockwise gears that receive kinetic energy from the electric drive shaft. Their teeth attract fuel from the tank and direct it to the injector line under pressure of up to 1.4 MPa.

  • To set the required pressure value, a slide valve with a spring-loaded piston and an adjustment screw is provided. And the electromagnetic bypass valve of the "normally open" type communicates the injection and discharge channel, which corresponds to the idle mode. When it is turned on, the channel is locked, and diesel fuel enters the feed line under pressure.

  • Preliminary cleaning of fuel from impurities is carried out using a dismountable filter with a working area of ​​​​a mesh of 6 cm². Its cells are capable of holding rust and debris with a linear size of more than 150 microns.
