Description

Liquid fuel gear pump AS 57 C 7441 4P 0700 with a capacity of 56 l/h is designed to pump fuel from the fuel tank to the burner nozzles under pressure from 7 to 14 bar. The control elements are a slide (regulating) and electromagnetic (cut-off) valves. The feed outlet for this model is located on the left side of the housing. The shaft, driven by an external electric motor, rotates counterclockwise.

Design features

  • The actuator of the pump is a gear mechanism with two mutually engaged gears and a wheel with internal teeth. Their synchronous counterclockwise movement creates a vacuum in the inlet pipe, which causes diesel fuel to flow from the tank into the working cavity, and then under pressure to the injector.

  • The required supply pressure can be set by tightening the adjusting screw of the slide valve. The spring-loaded piston releases some of the fuel back into the tank or back onto the gears. To stop the supply without stopping the drive, a "normally open" bypass solenoid valve is provided.

  • A dismountable filter is installed at the inlet to protect the internal cavity of the device from mechanical wear. Its cylindrical mesh insert with a cell size of 150 μm traps the smallest debris and rust. To prevent clogging of the fuel injectors, it is recommended to install a fine filter after the pump further along the working fluid.
