The Weishaupt 27770514082 ignition electrode is built into the burner ignition unit. When high voltage generated by the ignition transformer is applied to the electrode, it produces a powerful electric spark that ignites the fuel-air mixture. The metal conductive rod is protected by fixed ceramic electrical and thermal insulation. The electrode is designed to operate at high ambient temperatures. It is fixed in close proximity to the burner.
