Description

The Riello QRB4A-B070B70B flame sensor is connected to the industrial burner control unit with intermittent operation mode to transmit electrical signals about flame detection. It is capable of “seeing” parts of the spectrum of foreign objects, which requires increased safety measures relative to other light sources.

Design and equipment

Siemens QRB4 is equipped with a compact housing, inside which a light-sensitive photodiode is located. A 2-core power cable with a heat-protective thermoplastic sheath is connected to the housing. The end of the cable is stripped, a tip is provided. The flame sensor is equipped with a soft plastic plug for mounting on the burner.

Features and main parameters:

  • normal photocell sensitivity;

  • visibility: side (90°) and frontal;

  • copper cable cores, 2x0.75 mm²;

  • power cable length – 700 mm;

  • housing with a soft insert for quick, vibration-resistant fixation;

  • increased level of dust and moisture protection, class IP 54;

  • operating temperature range: from -20 to +60 °C;

  • for operation with LMO/ LMV2/ LMV3 type units, upon request with LME7/ LME8;

  • installation on the burner in any position;

  • for liquid fuel equipment with an intermittent operating mode.

Model with a soft plug

The Siemens QRB4...B flame sensor is easily and securely attached to the burner due to the soft insert:

  • only one hole in the burner is required:

  • the sealing edges and stop strips of the plug securely fix the device;

  • the guide key simplifies the positioning of the device relative to the flame.

Installation requirements

All operations must be carried out by qualified personnel. When installing the sensor, it is necessary to organize the signal transmission without interference and loss. It is necessary to take into account that the detector reacts not only to flame light, but also to extraneous radiation, for example, from lining bricks, solar radiation, lighting lamps, etc., which requires additional protective measures against light interference.

When using the sensor, icing, condensation, and water getting on the housing are prohibited. Failure to comply with these restrictions will cause a malfunction of the device and a high risk of electric shock.

Advantages:

  • Front and side lighting;

  • Optimal cable length to minimize signal loss;

  • Thermal protection of conductive cores;

  • Special insert for mounting in the burner hole;

  • Increased level of dust and moisture protection of the housing;

  • Stable operation at negative temperatures of the external environment (up to -20 ° C).
